The best thing to keep repeated cold sore flare ups at bay. I've tried using the creams but they dont really stop the flare ups, they just control it once they happen.

Over several years I have experienced far fewer cold sore "episodes" (I used to suffer regularly). Every time I had an infection (cold flu etc.) it would take weeks to recover as the cold sores broke out.

I’ve had shingles 5 times since 2013. 
Doctors don’t agree with me that I need a continuing  dose of Aciclovir to deal with the continuing itchy pain that Gabapentine does deal with,  however getting it this way is helpful as it does the trick, well for me anyway.

This had been prescribed by my GP so I know it works and only takes a few days to get the outbreak under control
