I have suffered from migraine headaches since the age of 14 and was able to control them with strong over the counter medicine which mostly worked, however fast forward to peri menopausal days and was finding I was having blinding headaches with sickness and which would knock me out for days of end and even having to go to A&E at one point.  This is when I was prescribed Sumatriptan, initially 50mcg but now on 100mcg and the results of being on this medicine have been life changing.  At the start of an attack I take one tablet, sometimes having to follow up with another one 2 hours later, but I can guarantee the headache will disappear and I can get on with my life.  Thank god for Sumatriptan is all I can say!

The 100mg pills work well for my atypical migraine headaches. To bypass a full stomach (which can delay a lot the drug's onset), I've found that using it as a suppository (with some butter/vaseline) also works very well.
